Our client, a real estate development company, is seeking to hire an experienced individual build and manage the company’s HR function in the capacity of an HR Specialist.
ROLE PROFILE
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and executing all human resources operations for the Ghana branch during the start-up phase and also responsible for building HR infrastructure, attracting top talent and creating a productive, compliant work environment.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Recruitment & Talent Management
- Manage the full employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding
- Draft and publish job postings, screen CVs, coordinate interviews, and evaluate candidates
- Maintain an organised pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future hiring needs
HR Policy & Compliance
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks aligned with Ghanaian labour law
- Ensure compliance with the Ghana Labour Act (Act 651) and Social Security (SSNIT) regulations
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases, ensuring confidentiality at all times
Employee Relations & Performance Management
- Handle employee relations, resolve internal disputes, and apply disciplinary procedures fairly
- Conduct periodic performance reviews and support department heads in staff appraisals
- Provide day-to-day HR guidance and support to management and employees
HR Operations & Administration
- Administer attendance, leave management, and payroll coordination with the Finance department
- Design and coordinate training and development programmes to build staff capabilities
- Report directly to the General Manager on all HR matters and provide strategic workforce advice
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Must have a minimum Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Must have a minimum of 3 years’ HR experience; prior exposure to real estate or construction sectors is an advantage
- Strong knowledge of the Ghana Labour Act (Act 651) and SSNIT regulations
- Proficiency in MS Office and HRMS/HRIS software

- Adaptability and resilience in managing multiple HR functions simultaneously
