Our client, a reputable company has immediate employment for a self-motivated, experienced, and talented AREA SALES EXCELLENCE AND ANALYTICS MANAGER Individual, to assist in the company’s operations.
ROLE PROFILE
The successful candidate will be responsible for steering/driving the Area sales team to deliver targeted volume through target setting, performance and opportunity management, Customer segmentation, Account management and sales activities (calls, visits & meetings). He/she will enable Sales Execution and Sales Business Development across the area and provide insight to Area Sales management to make strategic decisions.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop sales and vertical performance analysis &reporting
- Ensure and develop target setting and performance management to meet the needs of the company
- Handle opportunity management, sales pipeline and all accounts-related issues
- Manage customer segmentation and customer assignment to country sales reps, ensuring all targets and activities are updated in salesforce.
- Ensure salesforce hygiene by keeping clean, accurate, and consistent data.
- Ensure account planning and account strategy are updated by sales execution and sales business development across the area
- Coach and mentor employees toward sales team development and Upskilling
- Implement projects that positively impact the company’s bottom line
- Improve open and won opportunities to deliver volume targets (sales hygiene). 200% closed won vs target and converted to bookings
- Improve the quality of account assignment and planning of percentage strategy update, percentage assigned vs sales reps and ensure the right split between SXC & SBD, also ensure live re-assignment of customers when needed.
- Create new insights through dashboards and leverage the latest methods and technologies
- Act as area sales change agent, drive and deploy new sales initiatives
- Achieve customer relationships by ensuring customer visits target for the area through country sales
- Maintain customer relationships and achieve customer calls for the area through country sales
- Analyze no Shows, rollovers, and transhipment details and propose ideas for improvement
- Ensure all meetings and calls are logged.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, logistics, or a relevant field
- Minimum 5 years in a commercial role. Preferably in the maritime or logistics sector.
- Knowledge of the shipping industry.
REQUIREMENTS
- Excellent command of Excel, dashboard and PowerPoint
- Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate data
- Significant understanding and usage of salesforce.com
- Must have active knowledge of sales techniques
- Ability to communicate, collaborate and drive for results
- Good communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
- Must be result driven, persuasive and analytical
- Must be multi-dimensional and have the courage to make decisions and accept responsibility
- Must have an open and honest attitude, and have the capacity to support and inspire.
