Our client, a pharmaceutical company is seeking to hire a supportive and success-driven individual to assist with the operations of a company as an ENGINEERING MANAGER.
ROLE PROFILE.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of technicians, overseeing a team of engineers in the completion of engineering projects and supporting the manufacturing manager in running the production facilities. He or She will perform the following duties as well:
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review existing preventive maintenance templates periodically to ensure that the activities are relevant.
- Ensure planned maintenance activities are properly documented and filed such that they can pass any audit exercise.
- Ensure that spare parts and tools for preventive maintenance are readily available.
- Understand the preventive maintenance process.
- Ensure a robust facility maintenance program is in place.
- Ensure that planned facility maintenance schedules are effectively executed.
- Review the activities in the existing preventive maintenance templates periodically (annually) to ensure that the activities are relevant.
- Manage consultants and contractors to develop and deliver projects that enhance operations
- Ensure that the engineering manager’s duties are carried out safely.
- Ensure zero fatality in carrying out duties.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
- A minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or any related field
- At least 7 years of experience in a middle management role in a manufacturing environment (preferably FMCG)
- Proven work experience as an Engineering Manager or similar role
