VIDEO CONTENT CREATOR AND EDITOR

Our client, a creative agency, is looking to hire a Video Content Creator & Editor with a strong passion for storytelling through video and can skilfully execute various content styles with precision to join their creative team.

ROLE PROFILE

The chosen candidate will be responsible for creating and editing a broad range of video content, including cinematic commercials, social media videos, corporate videos, promotional content, documentaries, and more. He / She will work closely with the creative team and clients, bringing innovative ideas and technical expertise to each project, ensuring that the content the team create meets the highest standards of quality, creativity, and visual appeal.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and collaborate on video production projects, from pre-production to final delivery.
  • Shoot high-quality cinematic footage on-site using a variety of equipment, including Canon and Sony cameras, DJI drones, Sennheiser & RODE microphones, and professional lighting gear.
  • Capture dynamic content across various industries, including corporate, tech, food, travel, and documentary filmmaking.
  • Work with clients to understand their vision, brand tone, and creative objectives.
  • Handle all aspects of video production on-site, including camera operation, lighting, audio capture, and direction.
  • Edit raw footage into polished, engaging content using premium video editing tools such as DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Final Cut Pro.
  • Apply colour correction, sound design, and visual effects to enhance the final product.
  • Craft compelling narratives with an emphasis on pacing, storytelling, and brand alignment.
  • Create visually striking and dynamic edits for a variety of formats, including social media, YouTube, websites, and internal corporate content.
  • Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the required quality standards.
  • Manage all aspects of post-production, including audio mixing, motion graphics, and adding visual effects.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure content consistency across multiple platforms and formats.
  • Work closely with clients to refine and revise the edits until final approval.
  • Organize and archive video files efficiently for easy access.
  • Collaborate with the creative team and clients to develop new content ideas and concepts.
  • Offer creative input to improve the overall storytelling and video production quality.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest video trends, techniques, and technologies to keep our work fresh and innovative.
  • Contribute ideas for animations, graphics, and visual styles that enhance video content.

 EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in film, media, broadcasting, video production or any related field such
  • Experience with motion graphics and colour grading is a plus.
  • Must have working experience in the documentary filmmaking space or with long-form content.
  • Must have working experience across multiple industries, including corporate, tech, travel, food, documentary, and social media content.
  • Must have proven expertise in creating, filming, and editing high-quality video content, with a strong portfolio of diverse work.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proficient in using Canon and Sony cameras, lenses, and accessories, as well as a strong understanding of camera settings, composition, and lighting techniques.
  • Experience with DJI drones for aerial filming and capturing stunning cinematic shots.
  • Familiarity with professional Sennheiser and RODE microphones and other sound capture tools.
  • Proficient in using professional lighting equipment to enhance the visual quality of video content.
  • Expert in using DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Final Cut Pro.
  • Must be highly creative with the ability to tell compelling stories through video content. Strong understanding of pacing, structure, and how to engage viewers across various platforms.
  • Must possess knowledge of motion graphics and animation software (e.g., After Effects, Blender) is a strong advantage.
  • Must have high standards for video quality and an eye for detail in both filming and editing.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines.
  • Experience with other video production tools and technologies.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely while maintaining strong communication with the team.
  • Must have a strong understanding of visual branding, style guides, and how to tailor content for different social platforms (YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.).
  • Must possess knowledge of storyboarding and scriptwriting for video content.
  • Must be proactive and adaptable with the ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments.
  • Must be passionate about storytelling and push boundaries of video content creation.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with both clients and team members.
  • Ability to constantly seek new ways to enhance production quality, visual aesthetics, and engagement.
  • Ability to ensure all technical and creative aspects of a project are meticulously handled.
  • Ability to take initiative in creative problem-solving and improving processes.
  • Ability to work across diverse industries and adapt to various project requirements.
