SALES EXCELLENCE AND ANALYTICS MANAGER

Our client, a reputable company within the shipping industry is looking for a highly efficient and proactive Sales Excellence and Analytics Manager to assist with the operations of the company.

ROLE PROFILE

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the area sales support function and ensuring continuous improvement of sales processes. He / She will play a crucial role in ensuring area delivery of volume target through sales target setting and opportunity management and act as an enabler of sales execution and sales business development across the area as well as performing the following duties:

 DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive target setting and performance across all segments (Global, Key, Core, and Reefers) within the area.
  • Coordinate the budget planning process within the area with the Steering Teams and Trade Management.
  • Develop customer-centric dashboards to track key metrics and provide segment-specific performance analysis.
  • Drive and support key sales target setting and implementation as well as the set-up of related processes (account plans, visits, portfolio coverage, opportunities, etc.).
  • Oversee sales force opportunity management (module and process owner).
  • Manage business intelligence (sales campaign effectiveness etc.)
  • Oversee the coordination of relevant sales matters related to the different verticals with regional sales.
  • Provide insight to Area Sales Management to help in making strategic decisions.
  • Drive the highest levels of quality toward our customers through our sales processes, be customer-oriented, and create value for customers as well as the company.
  • Ensure sales meeting cadence for the different customer segments/areas as outlined in the Customer Satisfaction Model (CXS) through account management and sales activities (customer calls, visits, and meetings).
  • Oversee the rollout of relevant sales training in coordination with BSD/HR (Biological Science Division/Human Resource), for example; Commercial Academy, Sales soft skills and product training, core selling and value selling, available tools, etc.

 EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field from a recognized institution.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Shipping, Supply Chain & Liner Industry.
  • Knowledge about sales-related tools such as SalesForce, sales-related QV, etc.
  • Experience in front-line sales activities is an added advantage.

 REQUIREMENTS

  • Should have a good understanding of sales processes.
  • Must have strong analytical skills.
  • Should be proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint advanced features.
  • Ability to use Salesforce.com and other analytic tools provided by the company.
  • Must have versatile communication skills.
  • Should be able to create/conduct presentations and trainings.
  • Must be a result-driven team player with a proactive attitude.
  • Should be able to connect and drive results with functional teams virtually.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
