Our client a reputable company in the manufacturing industry is seeking to employ interested candidates for the role of RPET COLLECTION MANAGER to help assist with the operations of the company

ROLE PROFILE

The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up a collection infrastructure for Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) and other plastic waste materials. He/she will also monitor and drive the recovery of these waste materials.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure approved tons of RPET waste collection are met monthly.
  • Oversee and facilitate recycling pickup and drop-off programs.
  • Ensure compliance with government guidelines.
  • Oversee the coordination of recycling collection schedules to optimize service quality and efficiency and assign technicians and truck drivers to routes.
  • Coordinate shipments of recyclable materials to processing companies.
  • Partner with collection agents to meet the target
  • Collect project planning in line with the business requirement
  • Ensure timely completion of the project as per the agreed budget.
  • Ensure the output from the project is in line with the designed specifications
  • Initiate measures to control costs
  • Perform risk assessment analysis
  • Understand the broader global debate about plastics, and how RPET fits into the needs of brand owners.
  • Keep track of market competition and prices of the material, and review it from time to time.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Environment science/waste management.
  • Minimum 5 Years experience in the collection of waste Pet bottles for recycling
