POS TECHNICAL SUPPORT OFFICER

Our client, a leading company in the fintech industry looking for an experienced individual for the role of a POS TECHNICAL SUPPORT OFFICER to support the company’s operations.

ROLE PROFILE

The successful candidate will be responsible for handling day-to-day POS technical operations (POS networking, testing, debugging, and application support) and also monitoring the ticketing system and the POS maintenance cycle of the firm throughout the year. He or she would undertake the following duties as well:

DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receive and test the terminals that are withdrawn for repair and take the necessary action.
  • Prepare a monthly inventory report with all terminals and accessories.
  • Handle POS wireless connectivity network-related issues with ISPs.
  • Monitor and ensure that POS terminals are following scheme mandates and regulations.
  • Monitor and ensure that POS terminals are following PCI-DSS regulations and certificates.
  • Handle POS integration requests and licenses with clients as well as vendors.
  • Support all POS profiles databases, system support and queries.
  • Support the POS deployment and POS maintenance teams in troubleshooting field problems.
  • Support NIA (national identification authority) operation teams for any POS servers (N-Genius, Ingenico and VeriFone) technical-related issues.
  • Handle POS maintenance technical-related issues.
  • Support, test and develop teams in matters concerning POS terminals configurations and different POS technical Issues.
  • Test and deploy new POS technologies.
  • Responsible for any POS (Point of Sale) technical-related issues.
  • Maintain and generate reports on the database (MSSQL).
  • Handle tracking and ticketing systems and confirm maintenance actions.
  • Provide technical support to POS repair centre for any POS hardware-related issues.
  • Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports for support activities and ticket status.
  • Monitor the POS maintenance stock of terminals, spare parts, and accessories.
  • Handle day-to-day tickets (clients’ complaints) in all areas.
  • Setup the POSs on the terminal management system (TMS) by creating and configuring the terminal’s profile upon request (add or replace or delete or change configuration)

 EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 1-2 years experience in engineering.

 REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have an electronics background.
  • Should have a very good command of English.
  • Should possess very good knowledge of scheme authorization and settlement.
  • Excellent knowledge of various operating systems.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Excellent knowledge of SQL (structured query language) Databases.
  • Prior knowledge of delivering results and meeting customer expectations.
  • Working knowledge of demonstrating technical support or account management experience.
  • Must be able to skilfully prioritize and manage concurrent projects and issues\cases.
  • Should have excellent written and verbal communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
