MARKETING OFFICER

Our client, a reputable company within the cement manufacturing industry is looking for a highly proactive and goal-oriented Marketing Officer to assist with the operations of the company.

ROLE PROFILE

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving brand awareness and engagement among key stakeholder segments with a focus on executing strategies to increase the company’s visibility and preference within the target market. He / She will also perform the following duties:

 DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive brand awareness campaign targeting block makers.
  • Monitor and analyse campaign performance, provide regular reports on key metrics and make adjustments where necessary.
  • Organize and attend marketing events and activities to raise brand awareness and showcase the company’s products.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of effective marketing strategies to achieve the company’s brand growth objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the marketing department.
  • Enhance social media engagement across LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram with a focus on engagement.
  • Develop and execute internal communication strategies to foster brand advocacy among employees.
  • Plan and execute advertising and promotional campaigns across various media channels, including social media and print media.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, as well as vendors, and block makers to ensure the successful execution and promotion of marketing initiatives.
  • Monitor the performance of marketing activities and campaigns while evaluating their success using relevant metrics and analytics.
  • Prepare compelling marketing content for various publications and oversee its distribution to target audiences.
  • Conduct market research to identify opportunities for product promotion, brand enhancement, and business growth.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure product alignment and effective execution of brand initiatives.
  • Foster a cohesive teamwork environment to drive collective success.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to create effective strategies that drive brand awareness and promote engagements.
  • Touch base across all departments within the company to facilitate effective teamwork and productivity.
  • Ensure the maintenance and proper use of company-assigned electronic devices i.e., Laptop and accessories, Mobile phone, MIFI etc.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or any related field from a recognized institution.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience.
  • Must have proven experience in Brand Management, Marketing, or Advertising.

 REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have a solid knowledge of marketing techniques and principles.
  • Must have a thorough understanding of social media and web analytics.
  • Possess excellent knowledge of MS Office and marketing software.
  • Possess good data-gathering, analysis and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work through complex issues and challenges.
  • Must have a good understanding of market research techniques, statistical and data analysis.
  • Exhibit creativity and commercial awareness with a passion for building strong brands.
  • Must have a strong understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing strategies.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to be tactical, proactive and pay attention to details.
  • Ability to organize and supervise team members.
