Our client, a leading manufacturing company is looking for an experienced individual for the role of HEAD OF SALES, WATER TANKS, AND BUILDING MATERIALS to support the company’s operations.

ROLE PROFILE

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing sales operations. He or she will develop relationships with customers, design plans to meet targets, and perform the following duties as well:

DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Experience in mapping competition, strategic understanding of the market space and customer segments, and developing suitable strategies for retaining and growing sales and customer base
  • Proven track record of developing strategies for enhancing customer experience, retaining customers, and winning back key customers
  • Ability to motivate the Production teams to take up quality and productivity initiatives, as per requirement of the Customers
  • Experience working with Dealers’ Partners, motivating and managing dealers partners for successful growth and brand penetration
  • Proven experience in handling B2B businesses and government agencies and building effective customer relationship
  • Handle MNC customers and won long-term contracts – including experience in participating in e-procurement processes
  • Develop and implement effective brand-building and communication strategies for the product lines chosen
  • Develop strong commercial acumen to ensure profitable growth of sales of the business segments he handles
  • Proven experience in handling diverse business segments
  • Understand the sensitivities of forex variations and its impact on pricing/market opportunities

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum qualification MBA with not less than 12 years’ experience, in Sales & Marketing of Plastic Products / Building Materials Water Storage
  • Preferred Candidate should have on hands skills in dealer development and management, institutional sales, sales distribution of building materials, distribution of commodities and products like tanks, etc.
  • Exposure to a multinational environment will be an added advantage
  • Must have handled sales at National level
  • Must have at least 3 years of experience working directly with a business head

  • Should have good skills in handling customer complaints and their resolution effectively
  • Ability to lead and manage diverse teams (over 20 members)
  • Good skills in networking with peers for business performance and growth
  • Ability to mentor and develop high-performing teams and retain them
  • Possess influencing skills to motivate teams not directly under him and work as one team – one face to the customer
  • Must be mature and passionate about people and business
