COMMERCIAL ADMINISTRATOR

Our client, a leader in the manufacturing industry, is looking for an experienced person to fill the role of a Commercial Administrator to assist in the operations of the business.

ROLE PROFILE

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting commercial teams to maximize commercial productivity by processing sales orders for retail and corporate clients, analyzing and communicating commercial data (sales records, geographical information) to commercial stakeholders. He or she will contribute to the overall success of the organisation’s sales strategy and will perform the following duties as well:

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process incoming sales orders into our corporate Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform.
  • Ensure accurate and timely order entry to support seamless order fulfillment.
  • Maintain a comprehensive and updated map of all retail outlets.
  • Ensure accurate geographical information for effective distribution planning.
  • Manage and update the commercial client master list, ensuring accurate and up-to-date client information.
  • Facilitate effective communication and engagement with commercial clients.
  • Analyse relevant data and provide actionable insights to empower commercial teams to execute strategies.
  • Offer data-driven recommendations to enhance decision-making and performance.
  • Facilitate information flow between the commercial team and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Maintain positive relationships to support collaboration and achieve business objectives.
  • Prepare regular sales reports, performance metrics, and related documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of a Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognised university.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience as a Commercial Administrator or similar role.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven ability in written and verbal communication, strong persuasive and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be well-organised, diligent, and have the ability to supervise team members and motivate them.
  • Must possess strong problem-solving skills and pay attention to details.
  • Must be hardworking, persistent, dependable, and have a positive and enthusiastic spirit.
  • Experience in building and managing retail channels and managing distributors
  • Must possess strong strategic thinking and planning abilities to develop comprehensive sales strategies and go-to-market plans.
  • Proven ability of advanced Microsoft Office (word, excel, PowerPoint)
  • Possess good data-gathering and analysis skills.
  • Ability to work through complex issues and challenges.
  • Must be goal-oriented with a track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Must possess technical proficiency with spreadsheets and the ability to analyse geographical information system applications.
