CORPORATE AFFAIRS AND ADMINISTRATIVE LIAISON OFFICER

Our client, a leading global provider of business decisioning data and analytics, is seeking to hire a Corporate Affairs and Administrative Liaison Officer to assist with the company’s affairs.

ROLE PROFILE

The selected candidate will be responsible for handling land and property transactions, permits and utility applications, customs and tax exemptions and public relations and also manage permits. He/she will perform these duties in addition:

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage land registration and title processes with the Land Commission.
  • Obtain land usage permits and municipal approvals for construction.
  • Secure occupancy permits from the municipality upon construction completion.
  • Oversee the acquisition of building permits and necessary authorisations from the municipality.
  • Apply for post-construction utility subscriptions, including electricity, internet and water connections.
  • Handle all correspondence and documentation with the 1 district 1 factory Secretary.
  • Ensure timely submission and follow-up of applications to secure project incentives.
  • Monitor and renew Ghana investment promotion centre registration as required.
  • Manage any additional Ghana investment promotion centre-related applications or updates.
  • Coordinate with the Customs Department to secure and monitor temporary exemption letters.
  • Oversee the submission of documentation for tax benefits applicable to the project.
  • Serve as the primary contact for Ghana Immigration Service for visa and residence permits.
  • Facilitate applications and renewals for foreign employees’ permits.
  • Maintain a liaison with the Turkish Embassy in Ghana for consular matters.
  • Communicate with local police departments as needed for security clearances or other requirements.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with local authorities, municipalities, and other government bodies.
  • Regularly update management on the status of permits and approvals.
  • Maintain an organised archive of all project-related and official documents.
  • Ensure timely renewal of permits and compliance with legal requirements.
  • Engage directly with authorities to expedite critical permit and approval processes.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Law, or a related field.
  • Additional certifications in public management, regulations, or project management are an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel and Word).
  • Experience with enterprise resource planning or similar systems is a plus.
  • Must have at least 5 years of experience in working with public institutions, municipal authorities, or government-related tasks.
  • Knowledge of French and/or Turkish is an advantage.
  • Valid driver’s license; motorcycle license is a plus.

REQUIREMENT

  • Advanced proficiency in English (written and spoken).
  • Familiarity with Ghana’s local governance and official processes.
  • Previous experience in land registration, notarisation, trade licenses, and customs documentation.
  • Experience with industrial projects or construction firms is a plus.
  • Must possess communication and relationship management skills.
  • Exhibit strong negotiation skills and the ability to maintain professional relationships with public officials.
  • Should be proactive, analytical, and confident in liaising with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Must be flexible and adaptable to non-standard working hours.
  • Must be committed to providing daily reports on task progress.
  • Must have no health issues and a clean criminal record.
  • Must have a long-term career focus and a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work harmoniously with teams.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within Ghana and occasionally internationally.
  • Familiarity with health and safety standards.
