Our client, a reputable company in the minerals industry is looking for a creative and resourceful individual to assist with the company’s affairs as an Architect.

ROLE PROFILE

The top applicant will be collaborating with clients, engineers and contractors in assisting the development of architectural concepts. The top applicant will be preparing and coordinating project documents while ensuring that the client’s expectations are met. He/she will also undertake the following duties:

 DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and develop architectural concepts to suit the client’s description.
  • Conduct site visits, monitor project progress and supervise the overall design to ensure a balance of vision and practicality.
  • Modify designs based on client’s feedback for client satisfaction and ensure project timelines are met.
  • Coordinate with engineers, contractors and other professionals to ensure design feasibility.
  • Prepare drawings, specifications and construction documents to align with client’s budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning regulations and industry standards to maintain work safety.
  • Liaise with clients to get the right requirements to maintain client’s loyalty and approval.
  • Prepare preliminary sketches of options to assist clients define their priorities and vision.
  • Determine the client’s preferences concerning materials styles and other factors.
  • Develop and present project proposals and perform other assigned duties.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering or any related field.
  • A minimum range of 4-9 years of work experience.
  • Must have working experience as an Architect or in a similar role.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to develop innovative ideas and think outside the box.
  • Knowledge of local and national building regulations and codes to ensure compliance.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Must exhibit good attention to detail with exceptional organisation skills.
  • Extremely proficient with computer-aided designs and software.
  • Must possess strong communication skills to convey ideas clearly to clients.
  • Ability to adjust designs and plans based on client’s preference.
  • Must possess technical skills in designing products for the best result.
  • Must possess a splendid sense of design and creativity.
  • Must possess strong leadership and management skills.
  • Ability to be a strong team player and contribute effectively to projects.
