MECHANICAL SALES ENGINEER

Our client, an engineering company has immediate employment for a proactive MECHANICAL SALES ENGINEER to help with their operations in Ghana.

ROLE PROFILE

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales and revenue growth by effectively providing technical expertise to clients, promoting and selling the company’s products and services to customers as well as building long-term relationships to drive business growth. He or she would undertake the following duties as well:

DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve sales targets and maximize market penetration.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities by proactively engaging with potential customers, attending industry events, and conducting market research.
  • Work closely with customers to understand their technical requirements and provide solutions.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create effective promotional materials and campaigns.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations to customers.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure accurate product specifications and customized solutions for clients.
  • Provide technical support to customers throughout the sales process.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop proposals and quotes.
  • Negotiate contracts and close sales to aid business continuity and expansion
  • Maintain a deep understanding of our product portfolio and stay updated on industry trends, new technologies and competitors.
  • Provide feedback to the product development team regarding sales activities, market trends, and customer feedback to improve products and services.
  • Prepare accurate sales reports, including pipeline updates, sales forecasts, and market analysis.
  • Visit clients within and outside Accra to analyze their needs and propose tailored solutions that meet their technical specifications, budgetary constraints, and project timelines.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Proficient in using CRM software and other sales tools.
  • Willingness to travel as required to meet with customers and attend industry events.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must be willing to travel.
  • Must have a Driving license.
