OPERATIONS OFFICER

Our client in the security service industry has immediate employment for an experienced individual for the role of an OPERATIONS OFFICER to support the company’s operations.

ROLE PROFILE

The successful candidate will be responsible for coaching and motivating supervisors at designated locations to meet their performance targets and productivity expectations in line with company goals. He / She would monitor progress and perform the following duties as well:

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform duties in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and review and update SOPs as required. Prioritize reports daily and forward them to MD.
  • Manage overall operations and coordinate effective successful management of labor, quality control, productivity and safety measures as established and set for the operations department.
  • Ensure safe and efficient operations and enhance the operational procedure, and principles in the areas of information flow.
  • Enhance written reports from the field supervisors and forward to MD a comprehensive report at the end of every quarter in a year.
  • Perform supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and procedures where applicable.
  • Authorize and discuss with site commanders/supervisors’ security officers’ performance appraisals, address them, and develop action plans.
  • Identify trends and assist with audits and KPIs at the various locations as required.
  • Accomplish operations and the company’s mission by completing related results as needed.
  • Review nominal roll from site supervisors and approve for processing salaries at the end of every month.
  • Conduct site surveys and inspections as required by the existing or potential client.
  • Liaise with clients to solve problems and clearly communicate effectively on ad-hoc security duties as required.
  • Maintain and oversee the operational management as well as perform constant checks on guards and supervisors by dividing your routines into sectors to enable security flexibility and vigilance.
  • Participate in human resource activities including disciplinary investigations, capability reviews and grievance hearings with regard to theft that may occur at our client’s premises as well as any security officer who breaches company regulations.
  • Carry out security checks on the guards with regards to their appearances and deployments prior to the end of the shift as well as having debriefing between the recruitment/operations manager and the supervisors and ensuring that paperwork on reports is accurate and fully completed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience as an operations officer.
