SALES OFFICER (EXPORT)

Our client, a leading manufacturing industry looking for an experienced individual to fill the role of a SALES OFFICER to assist in the daily sales and marketing procedures in the industry.

ROLE PROFILE

The successful candidate will be responsible for growing the export market by engaging and maintaining customers and enhancing the sale of products and availability in the international markets. He or she will work directly with the Sales manager and undertake the following duties as well:

DUTIES:

  • Identify new business opportunities by tapping into potential customers from different countries.
  • Ensure efficient planning, designing, development, and implementation of different sales activities by researching the customer’s needs and requirements.
  • Engage and make sure that the existing clients are retained and maintained while developing new customers.
  • Ensure that all sales and marketing activities are carried out to support customers and volume growth.
  • Coordinate with all concerned parties to support and increase sales volumes in the international market.
  • Formulate sales and marketing strategies for company products in the international market.
  • Set sales promotion activities, and monitor and modify marketing campaigns in own area of responsibility.
  • Build customer relationships by regularly visiting and addressing customer complaints.
  • Conduct market research into competitors’ activities on pricing distribution, promotion, and product.
  • Develop creative and effective solutions to any issues that may slow down or hamper export sales.
  • Assist the Sales Manager with formulating the annual sales budget for the designated territory and action plans that will result in the achievement of the territory objectives.
  • Constantly review distributor’s performances and monitor sales, so that relevant information can be provided to management.
  • Coordinate closely with the logistics company for scheduling and booking shipments to ensure smooth and timely cargo delivery.
  • Arrange details of shipments with forwarders, carriers, and agents as necessary for exports.
  • Prepare freight invoices, receipts, and vouchers for freight received.
  • Track the status of all shipments and prepare a report of the same.
  • Prepare and submit monthly statistical reports on dispatch.
  • Ensure all paperwork relating to shipments is kept up to date and filed regularly including exit export documents.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4-5year’s work experience as a Sales Officer.

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Should possess strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Ability to adapt to the needs of the company and employees.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate.
